Defenders of the Name: A Call to Stand for YESHUA!

In every generation, ADONAI raises up a remnant — those who will not bow to the idols of culture or remain silent when the truth is under attack. We are that generation. And we are called to defend the Name of YESHUA, not with arrogance, but with conviction; not with pride, but with fire and humility.

The Name That Divides and Heals:

The Name of YESHUA has caused both revival and resistance. It has split history in two. For some, it is a stumbling stone. For others, it is the power of salvation. Yet there is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12).

It is not enough to say “the Messiah” — we must proclaim His Name.

We do not defend the Name of YESHUA to win arguments. We do it to glorify God, to bear witness, and to call His people back to the One they pierced — the One who still loves them.

“You will not see Me again until you say, ‘Baruch Haba B’Shem Adonai’ — Blessed is He who comes in the Name of the Lord.”  Matthew 23:39

The Name matters. And defending His Name is not optional for the believer. It is the mantle of every disciple, the commission of every watchman.

Reason Alone Cannot Reveal the Messiah:

The Jewish community has long cherished wisdom, tradition, and study — a heritage worthy of honor. But the Messiah cannot be found through reason alone. He is revealed by the Spirit.

“You search the Scriptures because you think that in them you have eternal life; and it is they that bear witness about Me.”  John 5:39

Truth is not an intellectual achievement — it is a divine encounter. Even the most learned men missed the Messiah standing before them because they trusted more in logic than in revelation.

Like Sha’ul (Paul), a Pharisee of Pharisees, many today need the veil removed — not by argument, but by the Ruach Ha'Kodesh. That veil is lifted only in Messiah (2 Corinthians 3:14–16).

Why We Must Speak His Name:

YESHUA warned us: we would be hated because of His Name (Matthew 10:22). But we are not ashamed. We will not be silent. We will not exchange clarity for comfort. We will not water down the "BESORAH" (the good news, gospel) for the sake of acceptance.

“For I am not ashamed of the Gospel, for it is the power of God unto salvation — to the Jew first, and also to the Gentile.”  Romans 1:16

The early apostles were arrested, beaten, and forbidden to teach in His Name — but they rejoiced that they were found worthy to suffer shame for the Name (Acts 5:41). That same spirit must rise in us again.

This is not about winning debates. This is about awakening hearts. It’s about standing in the gap for our people — JUDAH & ISRAEL, and the remnant of the nations together — and calling them to behold the Lamb of God.

A Final Word:

We are not defenders of religion. We are defenders of the Testimony of YESHUA, the Lamb who was slain, the King who is coming, the One whom every eye will see.

Let us take our place in the great cloud of witnesses — not just as scholars or servants, but as watchmen on the walls, crying out:

“Return, O Israel, to your Messiah!”

“Behold your King!”

“YESHUA is His Name!”

YESHUA IS TRUTH — AND SO ARE HIS WITNESSES:

“If you hear a false witness and do not correct it, you bear the same iniquity.”

 Leviticus 5:1 says:

“If someone hears a public call to testify, and is a witness, whether they saw or knew the truth, but does not speak, they will bear the guilt.”

Silence is NOT innocence.

When we know the truth but refuse to speak it, we sin.

YESHUA is called “The Faithful and True Witness” (Revelation 1:5).

He stood for truth—even when it cost Him everything.

As His followers, we are called to do the same.

If you stay silent when lies are spoken…

If you allow gossip, slander, or injustice to spread unchecked…

If you hear false accusations and say nothing…

You are not just a bystander; you are complicit.

YESHUA didn’t stay silent. He defended the oppressed. He exposed hypocrisy.

He IS the Truth, and if He lives in us, we must speak Truth too.

Let your voice be a sword of righteousness.

Speak with boldness, not fear.

Correct what’s false, uphold what’s right.

Be a witness, not just of His goodness, but of His Truth.

You may be the voice that saves someone from destruction.

Human reason without submission to ADONAI leads to spiritual error.

When human reason is elevated above submission to ADONAI, it becomes a false light, a source of pride rather than revelation.

Scripture says:

“There is a way that seems right to a man, but its end is the way of death.”

Proverbs 14:12

Human reasoning, apart from the Spirit of ADONAI, cannot discern spiritual Truth:

“The natural person does not accept the things of the Spirit of G-d, for they are folly to him… because they are spiritually discerned.” 1 Corinthians 2:14

Even the wisest minds, when not submitted to divine wisdom, fall into deception. This is what happened at the Tower of Babel, when humanity used its intellect and unity to exalt itself rather than to glorify ADONAI. It led not to elevation, but to confusion and scattering (Genesis 11).

True wisdom begins with fear of the Lord:

“The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom; all who follow His precepts have good understanding.”  Psalm 111:10

In essence, REASON must BOW before REVELATION. Human logic is a gift, but like fire, it must remain on the altar, under divine direction. Otherwise, it becomes strange fire!

Prayer of Boldness and Revelation:

"Abba Father,

We come before You with trembling and gratitude. You have revealed the Name above all names — YESHUA, the One sent to save. Give us boldness to speak, humility to serve, and clarity to stand. Let not one drop of fear silence us. Let not one soul be lost because we refused to speak.

Open the eyes of Your people. Remove the veil. Let Israel behold her King.

We will not be ashamed. We will not be silent. We will proclaim His Name — until He comes.

In the mighty Name of YESHUA,

Amen
